The tour of Sergiev Posad

The history of Sergiev Posad dates back to the XIV century. This is the only city in the Moscow region that is part of the famous «golden ring». Its proximity to the capital makes it especially popular for visiting Muscovites and tourists who regularly come not only to see the age-old sights, but also to plunge into the atmosphere of noisy souvenir bazaars, Russian-style restaurants and historical reconstructions

Here is located the famous Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, the heart of Russian Orthodoxy. To this day, more than half a million pilgrims from all over the world go here every year. During a tour of the shrine, you will get acquainted with the architecture of the largest center of Russian spiritual culture and enlightenment, touch Orthodox relics and learn about the life of the founder of the monastery — the Monk Sergius of Radonezh.
